April Events

March 30, 2016

03 April:

St. Abb's Head hike

We will do the Discovery Trail plus the Mire / Lighthouse Loop so it'll take us 2.5-3 hrs. It's a coastal path so very hilly and has steep cliffs with nesting birds and lambing sheep so dogs will need to be kept on a lead.

Map of the trail: http://www.nts.org.uk/Downloads/Properties/st_abbs_walking_trail.pdf

We'll meet at 11.45 (for 12pm start) at the Nature Centre. Public transport involves the 9.30am train to Berwick upon Tweed (45mins) and then the bus (no 235) to St Abbs (30mins). We can get food at the Nature Centre after the walk, or in St Abb's harbour.

16 April:

Book Discussion @ Café Nom de Plume 19:30 (booking required)

A special one-off book group event on 'The Front Runner' by Patricia Nell Warren to celebrate LGBT History Month and the namesake of the Frontrunners movement. This will be a very informal discussion of the book over dinner, followed by drinks and dancing in Edinburgh's fine gay establishments.
